MOVING EMPTINESS

Monte Carlo

In order to approach an understanding of Moving Emptiness, the work must not be understood as an object but as a multi-layered playground. Its a set of fictional realistic installations or a numerous fragments that deal with aesthetics of capital.

The source of the work is related to one specific geographic location: Monte Carlo.

‘Like being in a pilots seat’

The pilot speeds up throughout the racing track of Monte Carlo.

In the beginning, the view is coming from outside, inwards. Pilot is processing. Later, the view shifts from inwards back outwards. And that view becomes abstract.

Shaking visions, and turbulent views through the pilots helmet, speeding up, slowing down, getting into the dark tunnels, coming out of them, getting into the blinding sun, going into darkness again. And in between noticing something, some fragments of life. Racing Track has no stops, and no exits.

Racing track as a Carrier.

The composition of the piece unfolds differently every time it is perceived.

A full-scale installation is composed of moving and static images, it also has a 'live experiences' booking list, meaning that spectators can book an instruction-based 'live experience'.
